I get a lot of questions that come that basically ask me how to backlink and make it look natural. When creating backlinks to your site it is important do so in a way that will keep you from getting hit with penalties. Google will slap your site down quicker than Luke Judge going down on a monkey if you don’t do things the right way.
Below I give you 5 things I like to keep in mind when building back links. I teach these techniques as well as many others in The Adsense Guild and they all work even post Panda.
- Create Various Links – Use everything at your disposal to get links from everywhere. Use forums, article submissions, social, bookmarking, press releases, video and anything else you can think of. The more variety the better.
- IP Addresses – Get as many links from various IP addresses as you can. A blog roll link is fine but it only comes from one IP address. So those thousand links you get from that blog roll are not as important as say 2 or 3 quality links from various sites.
- Build Steady Links – Don’t create a million links over night and don’t use any service that would claim to do this for you. Build links every day, week and month until you see results. Add a little variety to the number of links you create and ramp them up as you go.
- Various Keywords – Don’t use just one keyword once you get going. When you start it is fine to concentrate on one keyword for say your home page but once you start to see traffic and $$$ be sure to add some variety to the keywords you use for link building.
- Never Spam – Some people think that just by creating backlinks you are spamming and the is not the case at all. If you create a quality post or reply on a forum and include your link in the signature that is a quality link. If you write a good article and distribute it to Ezine, Go Articles or Info Barrel that is quality content someone will read. And if you write a great blog post and want to share it socially that is ok too. However, don’t spam and try not to just create bullshit links.
When link building it is super important to always, always, always try for the top 3 spots in Google. If you don’t make it to these spots chances are you are not going to be making any money.
