The Adsense Guild members are now setup with Google + accounts, also known as Circles and I can tell you this….IT FUCKING ROCKS. If you are in the guild and don’t have an invite yet drop me a PM on the forums and I’ll hook you up. If you are not a guild member get on it and I’ll hook you up as well.
Below is a walk-though that Mike did. Mike is the social media guru for the guild and he did a great job at putting the video together for everyone. If you want to see what Google + has to offer just sit back, watch the video and then join the guild so we can get you an invite!
The features they have like circles, hangout and huddle are far and above anything Facebook has going right now.
The Android app simply kicks ass. It’s fast, easy to use, not overloaded with crap and actually fun to use. I love the auto upload option for any picture and video taken on your phone. Your pictures and videos are uploaded in the background to a secure area on your Google + account and no one can see them. When you visit your online profile you can then share them out, delete them, drag them to your desktop or even edit and tweak them with basic photo touch-up options.
Huddle is their group texting feature which is basically worth downloading the app just for that. This allows you to send out group or mass texts to your circles.
Circles are customized groups that you can create to organize your friends, family, co-workers and anyone else you want into. For me I created a Guild Member circle so I can blast out things like hot niches, SEO tips and Adsense tweaks so members can make more money online. This way the guild circle can get very timely information to help them be successful.
Google + 100 Million Member Guarantee
“If Google + doesn’t have 100 Million members by the end of the year I will donate $500 do charity.” The charity will be chosen by guild members.
I only have one request and that is if anyone from Google is listening please keep it simple like it is. It’s fresh, easy to navigate, clean and not overloaded with bullshit and apps that no one cares about.
Go Google Go…

Cary:
Thanks for posting the video tour by Mike. It’s a good overview of the service. I have a Google+ account but I haven’t done much with it yet. I don’t consider myself an early adapter at all so I’m going to hold out on this until Google+ becomes more mainstream.
I can see this being big for Internet Marketing guys like ourselves, but I honestly don’t see this thing overtaking Facebook by any means. I just can’t see my wife or any of my family members using Google+ over Facebook. EVERY non Internet Marketing person I know (i.e. “regular folks”) use Facebook and some use Twitter.
I think in the end you’ll have Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ – all targeting different types of users. If I’m right, this sucks because I’m getting tired of trying to keep up with all these social networks.

I agree to a certain extent. I think Shoemoney said it best in this post about Twitter http://www.shoemoney.com/2011/07/13/twitter-will-be-as-worthless-as-myspace-shortly/
As far as FB and G+ goes.
Google does have search, mobile and video which FB does not. Those are 3 big guns to avoid.
Will FB be dead tomorrow, absolutely not.
Will G+ give FB a run and knock it off the social media pedestal it’s been on for a while…absolutely yes.
Hello Cary
Great post, And great to Google back in High Gear.
There is nothing more that I would like to see than Facebook getting thier ass kicked and going the MySpace way.
I am not an Guild member, wish I had signed up when you had the initial prices..:) But for now wondering if you can pass me an invite as well.
Thanks, Bobby
It could be that I’m on such an anti-Facebook thing right now that I talk like this. However, lately I have heard from more and more people that they can’t stand FB anymore and that they are canceling their accounts.
From what I have seen this about people hating FB has been going on now for about 3-6 months. I don’t remember hearing that kind of talk the last couple years. Before everyone was all about FB and I never heard anything bad about it. Now I hear a “lot” of people hating it.
Giddy Up!
I just don’t have any passion to put Google + in my site if its not effect my site in search engine. what do you think Cary?
+1 will absolutely effect search engine rankings moving forward. I would suggest you get on it now before you competition does.
Cary hit it on the head. Google + is not going to take over Facebook. Facebook will always be around. Just like Myspace is still around for murders like Casey Anthony to hang out on. Don’t think Facebook will ever drop to that level, let’s hope not, but G+ will give Facebook a hell of a run.
No wonder Zuckerburg sold huge percentage of the company to a hedge fund last month. Better cash out now in case G+ goes mainstream…
I think Google plus will explode, b/c people are already familiar with twitter and facebook which are similiar to G+. The circles/selective sharing makes G+ stand out. Plus once they start integrating all their assets, like i don’t know their search box, it will only get better.
My question is what’s going to happen to their stock?
I see a highly volatile stock considering 2 things. 1 ) All the good news that will come out with all the new integrations/features and the increasing user bases. 2) The FTC is up their rear end already thinking they are in violation of trade laws.
Will the FTC really crack down on Google? Will Google Plus take off faster than facebook?
I noticed Google+ just a few days ago and remember thinking “I bet that is going to be successful”. I didn’t expect to hear about it again so soon. Thanks for keeping us posted. I’m heading over there to create an account. The only thing I don’t like about facebook is that it’s SO hard to figure out how to get the code for a facebook link on your website. Maybe it’s just me.
Cary:
I would like an invitation to Google +.
Thanks,
David Lee
